Watercolor Studies, but wanted a larger
format for a show in June that has requested
a larger painting for 2 entries. It is being

This is another in my series of Freshwater Fish in North America. It is in the Sunfish or Bream Family of fish. I photographed this painting for six different stages of the painting, to show the technique I use in painting. I use a combination of a series of glazes and very fine dry point. This is what I like to call a linear landscape, playing on vertical lines giving the watercolor painting a modern feeling. I love the starkness of the Scotish Highlands & Hebridies.

This is a commissioned work for Dr. Robert Myers. He also commissioned a set of 3 Giclee prints for his fishing buddies. I am now working on some horse portraits for him of his stable of horses.
